Free Claude skills/Founders

    Investor Update

A short, honest monthly update from your rough notes and numbers, with runway worked out. A free Claude skill for founders.

    A look inside

This is how the skill opens, exactly as Claude reads it. The download has the full instructions, and it is a plain text file you can edit to fit how your team works.

Turn a founder's notes and numbers into a short, honest update that investors read to the end and reply to.

    What to ask for

    1. The period covered.
    2. The numbers: revenue or the main metric, growth, cash in the bank, monthly burn. Whatever the founder tracks.
    3. What went well, what did not, and what changed.
    4. What the founder needs help with.
    5. Last period's update, if there is one, to keep the format and check what was promised.

If a number is missing, ask once. If the founder does not have it, leave it out. Never estimate it.

    How to write it

    1. Lead with the single most important thing that happened, good or bad.
    2. Show the same metrics in the same order every time, each with the change from last period.
    3. Work out runway from cash and burn, and show the sum.
    4. Give bad news the same plain treatment as good news: what happened, why, what is being done.
    5. Make every ask specific enough to act on in five minutes: a named person, a type of customer, a role to fill.
    6. If last period's update made promises, report on each one.
