    A look inside

This is how the skill opens, exactly as Claude reads it. The download has the full instructions, and it is a plain text file you can edit to fit how your team works.

Give a hiring manager everything they need to run a fair, structured interview for one role.

    What to ask for

    1. The job description or a few lines on the role.
    2. The level: junior, mid, senior, leader.
    3. How long the interview is and who is on the panel.
    4. The two or three things this hire must get right in the first six months.

If the user only gives a job title, ask for point 4. It shapes everything.

    How to build it

    1. Choose four to six competencies from the role. Mix skills for the job with ways of working. Name each one in plain words.
    2. For each competency write two questions:
    3. One about the past: "Tell me about a time when".
    4. One about a realistic situation in this job.
    5. For each question write what a strong answer includes and what a weak answer sounds like. Be specific to the role.
    6. Add follow up probes that dig for the candidate's own part: "What did you do yourself?", "What would you change?".
    7. Fit the plan to the time available. Roughly eight minutes per competency, five to open, ten for the candidate's questions.
